The area will be checked to ensure that all decay and debris has been removed. Then the dental filling is placed. A shade of dental filling material is selected that will closely match that of your natural tooth. Tooth-colored fillings are placed in layers. Each layer is cured as it is placed. Once all of the layers are in place, the final filling is shaped, and any extra material is removed.
There is no special care required for your new dental filling. Simply maintain proper dental hygiene. Brush your teeth twice a day, floss once a day, and visit our office at least twice a year for routine dental appointments.
